Elected Academician of the International Eurasian Academy of Sciences in 2017, Professor Qingguo Ma is a distinguished Chinese management scientist whose research and professional work have focused on neuro-management, neuro-industrial engineering, and safety engineering science. Born in September 1945 in Hengshan, Hunan Province, he graduated from the Department of Mathematics, Xinjiang University, in 1968 and received his M.A. from Zhejiang University in 1981. He joined the School of Business Administration, Zhejiang University, in 1983, becoming Associate Professor in 1986 and Professor in 1991. From 1997 to 2006, he served as Vice Dean of the School of Business Administration and subsequently the School of Management at Zhejiang University. In 1999, he founded the Research Center for Technological Innovation and Science and Technology Industry at Zhejiang University and became its Director. He currently serves as Professor and Doctoral Supervisor at the School of Management, Zhejiang University, and Director of the Research Center for Technological Innovation and Science and Technology Industry.

Professor Ma’s research has centred on neuro-management, neuro-industrial engineering, and safety engineering science, with particular emphasis on applying neuroscience methods to management decision-making, consumer behaviour, and industrial safety. His work has explored the use of brain imaging, physiological measurement, and behavioural experiments to investigate the neural mechanisms underlying managerial, organisational, and consumer behaviours, contributing to the development of interdisciplinary approaches linking neuroscience with management science. Through leadership of national research programmes and participation in international scientific collaboration, he has contributed to research on decision-making, risk perception, safety behaviour, and organisational processes in complex environments. Author of numerous peer-reviewed publications and monographs, Professor Ma has also supervised and trained researchers working at the intersection of neuroscience, management, and engineering. Through sustained research, academic leadership, and interdisciplinary collaboration, his work has contributed to connecting advances in neuroscience with applications in management innovation, industrial safety, organisational behaviour, and decision science.
