ASEAN Centre (IEAS ASEAN Centre)
The International Eurasian Academy of Sciences ASEAN Centre (IEAS ASEAN Centre) was established under the formal authorization of the International Eurasian Academy of Sciences and serves as a key regional branch of the Academy in Southeast Asia. As an important scientific hub connecting the Eurasian continent with the ASEAN Community, the Centre has, since its establishment, been committed to advancing cross-regional scientific exchange and academic collaboration, while fostering strong institutional links between scientists across Eurasia and universities and research institutions throughout the ASEAN Member States.
Building on the region’s rich biodiversity, dynamic economic growth, and cultural diversity, the Centre facilitates high-level international academic conferences, collaborative research initiatives, and programmes for the exchange of distinguished scholars and experts. Through these activities, it has advanced cooperation in priority areas including medicine and public health, artificial intelligence, environmental protection, and sustainable development, contributing to the regional translation of frontier technologies and their practical and industrial applications. Its work has received broad recognition from scientific communities and relevant governmental stakeholders across ASEAN. Academicians from Eurasia and ASEAN have likewise recognized the Centre’s important role in fostering scientific exchange between East and West and contributing scientific expertise to the pursuit of sustainable regional development.
